Sudoku Scramble is a competitive multiplayer Sudoku game. It is the first Sudoku game where two players play in real-time, taking turns solving the same puzzle.

How It’s Different

Instead of solving the whole puzzle, the goal is to play all your numbers before your opponent. Each player gets 7-10 numbers depending on their rank. Matches are turn-based, with each turn taking 1 minute. The gameplay is done in real-time, so each player can see what the other player is doing. During your opponent’s turn, it’s important to watch what numbers they play while also planning out your next turn.

Bluffing and Challenging

Sudoku Scramble adds a new layer of strategy to Sudoku. Not only can you bluff to your opponent, but you can also use bluffs to learn where numbers go. For example, if a number can go in two places, but you’re not able to eliminate one of them. You can take a chance and place the number in whichever spot you think is most likely correct. If you’re opponent notices, they can challenge you. If the challenge is won, you will take your number back, but now you know where to put it on your next turn...unless your opponent has the same number.

Missed Challenges

It’s not always safe to challenge a number, because your opponent may have put it in the right spot (by chance, or by logic). If a challenge is not made and the number is wrong it will be removed at the end of the turn and a “Missed Challenge” will be declared.
